SELF IMPROVEMENT

When I embarked on this jewelry line, I had visions of sunny skies while strolling joyously to my fabulous downtown studio with my ever permanent coffee cup in hand (fabulously decorated of course!) I mean, how hard could it be to just start a jewelry line? Turns out a lot harder than previously thought, especially when said person starting the jewelry line has the extreme mental disadvantage of being a perfectionist!

I think it's important to note here that I would be an extremely joyful young lady if there were no technology in my life. Candle light is so much prettier than light bulb light (don't even get me started on fluorescent lights!), the telephone; honestly, I could do without the shrill ringing in my ears, and the computer never does what it's supposed to. It seems like there is always a glitch or a freeze, or a beeping, or something very uncouth!

So here I am, on my way to have a marvelous jewelry line (of course!)and realize that I need to build a website on my very disagreeable computer.

After months and months of research into, what I am convinced is alien technology language, I think I finally have a handle on this computer-technology-website-social media-thing. I'm not saying I like it, but my computer and I now have an agreement that he will comply with what I want, and in turn, I will not drop him from the highest point in California.

I am so proud to say that all of the infrastructure has now been set up on the website program, and all that's left to do is plug in the different information (prices, metals, gemstones) and we'll be live!

This brings me back to the magnet above. I found this magnet in a boutique in town, and it has been staring me in the face since last year. It is so perfect for what I've been through. It's been more important to me to figure all this stuff out to get my jewelry line launched, than to just let it go because I didn't know how to it. I had to put on my big girl underpants and get over it!

I'm so glad I did.
