Staff a major business concern for 2012 Olympics

Possible lack of staff available and the risk of a security incident, the major concerns of the British company during the Olympic Games next year in London, a survey showed Saturday.

The latest poll "Willingness Games" by business advisory firm Deloitte shows that a growing number of companies have begun to assess how the Games may affect them, but most are yet to assess the situation.

Among those who have disruption in the London transport system creaking and the possible lack of hotel can be seen too.

"UK businesses are waking to the fact that if they want to capitalize on any adult business from the Olympic Games, and to minimize any disruption to their business, they must prepare and be ready," Heather Hancock leads the London 2012 partner at Deloitte, said in a statement.

"But there is much work to do, and this is a concern that more than half of large businesses in the UK have formally assessed the impact the Games can have on their operations."

About 300 companies with more than 500 employees, are questions for the survey, two thirds of them in London.
