SELF IMPROVEMENT

Why is it in life the more you do, the more there is to do? I keep thinking I'm within a week of finishing my website, then I realize I'm much farther away that I thought. I need more pictures, I need better pictures, I need to change the font, I need to enlarge the description, figure out photoshop, change the price, describe the gemstone better...the list goes on! Maybe I shouldn't be such a perfectionist, after all is anything in this world perfect? Isn't imperfection what makes things beautiful to begin with?

This weekend, Rhinestone Cowboy and I escaped to the pool with his brother and his fiance, Callie. I needed lifestyle pictures for the website, it was a sunny day and I had a camera. No time like the present! It couldn't have been a more beautiful day to take pictures and lay by the pool.

We started with some shots for my 'Freedom' Collection. Here's Callie being a free spirit by a tree. Don't you pose by trees laughing at the clouds in you're free time?! How do we make it look natural and free? I just want to play with gemstones, I don't know how to take pictures!



Scratch that. Since I don't know how to be a set designer/fashion photographer/artistic director, I'm going to go with what I know. I know how to have fun! Lets just have fun, and go with the moment and hope I get some good pictures for the website! So we let our hair down (so to speak).

Me: "Just have fun, go with what you feel, but feel free."
Callie stares back at me.
I stare back at her and snap a couple pictures. That wasn't quite what I was going for.

I think we're on the right track! I don't think we can use these for the website, but I know we're having fun!

Callie's Love made sure she was hydrated. I love that their eyes are locked on each other.






We did good! I have 450 photos to wade through and I dare say, they are pretty perfect.
