"Journey" by Jeff Faust

It's a rare occasion that I walk by an art gallery without going in. A while ago, Rhinestone Cowboy and I were walking downtown and ducked into an art gallery to look around. He doesn't share my fervor for art and design, but he is fervent about making me happy, so he dutifully held my hand as we walked around. He even smiled and did his best to look (at least) mildly interested in all of the wonderful art.

As we made our way around the corner, I stopped frozen in my tracks, staring in awe at this painting. Most of the time I'm attracted to realism, sometimes impressionism and post impressionism, so it was surprising that I was so drawn to this artist, and in particular this painting.

This painting is the visual representation of everything I want in this life. It's whimsical, honest and full of freedom. It's endless possibilities, no boundaries, no heartache, and everything out in front of me just waiting for me to lasso them all. It gives me endless inspiration and excitement that I can do anything.

There is a wall in my studio that is reserved for this painting, and I delight in the day that Rhinestone Cowboy hangs it for me.
